First Year Dining Plans

Welcome to Penn!

First year Penn students are required to purchase a dining plan. Students can choose between four first-year plans with varying combinations of visits to the all-you-care-to-eat dining halls and Dining Dollar$. You can add additional blocks of visits or any amount of Dining Dollar$ to your dining plan at any time by logging into your account on Campus Express.

Jam Rewards

All first year undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in our FREE Customer Rewards Program - Jam Rewards. You earn reward points just for having a dining plan! You can earn additional points by adding additional Dining Dollar$ to your account or by spending cash/credit in any Penn Dining location. How Do Dining Plans Work?

Semester Allowance
Use your visits in any of our three all-you-care-to-eat on-campus restaurants (1920 Commons, Hill College House or Kings Court English College House). Additionally, you can use your visits in Falk Dining Commons, our all-you-care-to-eat kosher dining restaurant. Each time you eat in an on-campus restaurant, one visit is subtracted from your semester visit allowance.

Dining Dollar$(D$)

Dining Dollar$ can be used in any Penn Dining location including Starbucks in 1920 Commons and Houston Market. Each time you make a purchase, that amount is subtracted from your Dining Dollar$ account balance.
