Meal Plans - Frequently Asked Questions
Do unused meals carry over to the following week?
No. Plan to use your meals each week (meals reset every Saturday at midnight). We can help you decide on the right plan to fit your schedule and eating habits, ensuring that you get the full value for your dollars.
What happens if I don't eat all of my 14 or 7 meals each week?
Any uneaten meals for the week expire as of midnight each Saturday and are forfeited.
Can I change my Dining Plan?
Yes. During the first week of each semester, you have the opportunity to change your Meal Plan (within eligable plans). Simply visit the Department of Housing & Dining Services at 3339 N. Charles St., Room 103 and fill out a Meal Plan Change Form.
Can I treat a friend by using my Meal Plan?
It depends. All-you-care-to-eat meals are only for your use and you may use only one meal per meal period. If you would like to treat a friend, you can use your Declining Dollars.
Do Dining Dollars carry over?
Unspent Dining Dollars do carry over from first to second semester, but expire at the end of the academic year. Any unspent Dining Dollars at that time are forfeited.
What do I do when my Declining Dollars runs low?
Reload. Simply add to your account with cash, check, money order, or it can be billed to your student account by visiting the Department of Housing & Dining Services at 3339 N. Charles St., Room 103.
Can I cancel my Meal Plan?
No, once you are enrolled in a meal plan, you are committed for the entire academic year unless your student status changes.
Why do I pay more for my Dining Dollars?
The Dining Dollars you receive cover the cost of the food and the staff involved in preparing and serving the food. THe difference between the Dining Dollars you receive and the price paid is the facilities fee associated with the University's cost of building, furnishing and maintaining the dining facilities and equipment for dining service operations.
What do I do if I am sick?
