The change, cancellation and refund policy is structured on a pro-rated basis. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines before making your choice for the Fall 2008 semester and Spring 2009 semester.
Once the semester begins participants will be allowed to receive one change in their choice of Plans without encoring a $50 fee; there will be a pro-rated basis charge based on the number of days enrolled in the Plan. Freshmen and sophomores must remain in a weekly or unlimited Meal Plan (not a Block Plan). The change must occur within the first two weeks of the semester. After two weeks (beginning September 9, 2008 for Fall semester and January 20, 2009 for the Spring semester), changes between Plans or cancellations may be made at a cost of $50 per change. At your request, this fee may be charged to your GOCard or to your Student Account.
Upper class students will be allowed one day to cancel and receive a 100% refund on their Plan. Starting the second day, (beginning August 27, 2008 for the Fall semester and January 7, 2009 for the Spring semester) refunds will be granted on a pro-rated schedule based on the number of days a student was enrolled in the Plan.
The Flex Dollars that come with the purchase of the 24, 14 or 10 Meal Plans are non-refundable. If a 24, 14, or 10 Meal Plan is canceled or switched to another plan, the Flex Meal Dollars are not refunded, but remain available in your account for use throughout the semester. The Flex Meal Dollars that come with the purchase of any subsequent plan will be added to the participants' Flex Meal Dollars account and both will remain available for the balance of the semester. Flex Meal Dollars balances from the fall semester will not be carried over to the spring semester. Important dates to know- December 18, 2008 for fall semester and May 17, 2009 for the spring semester, are the last days participants can spend their Flex Meal Dollars.
No refunds, changes or cancellations will be granted after four weeks (beginning September 23, 2008 for the Fall semester and February 3, 2009 for the Spring semester.)
Block 75 and Block 45 participants (not available to freshmen and sophomores) who choose to cancel their Block plan during the first four weeks of the semester will receive a pro-rated refund based on the number of meals remaining in their account on the day of cancellation. When a participant switches to another plan from a Block Plan, there will be a charge for the number of meals eaten. No refunds, changes or cancellations will be granted after four weeks (beginning September 23, 2008 for Fall semester and February 3, 2009 for Spring semester).
