Sustainable Initiatives for 2009-2010 Academic Year:
- Create an indoor herb garden in Dansbury Commons: Talk about locally grown!
- Introduce single napkin dispensers at all venues
- Eliminate plastic wrap from all dining room use
- Implement a composting program
- Conduct an internal energy and utilities audit (install timers or motion sensors for lights)
- Purchase local Fresh Eggs
- Use eco-friendly detergent for all laundry responsibilities
- Install a dishwasher/dishroom @ Center Court location in order to reduce paper usage
- Newly installed POD unit with hot offerings utilizing eco-friendly containers for to-go program.
