Q: What is "Anytime Dining"?
A: Anytime Dining is a dining plan designed to accommodate students' desire to eat on their own schedule rather than at pre-designated meal hours. Under this plan, students may use the Student Restaurant as many times as they desire throughout the day. The hours of operations are also expanded in the Student Restaurant to accommodate this plan. The Student Restaurant will now be open from 7:30 am to midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday. Here are a couple of examples of how Anytime Dining works: If they wish, students many have lunch at 2:30 pm, a late afternoon snack, dinner at 8:00pm and a late night coffee/ omelet for a study break. Or, if they wish, students can have breakfast after their first class, grab some sushi with friends for lunch, grab an apple on their way to afternoon classes, eat dinner on their way to town and have some dessert upon their return. With the Anytime Plan, the student dining needs are met on their schedule.

Q: What if I want to eat in the Food Court and not in the Student Restaurant?
A: A certain amount of Dining Dollars are built into each Anytime plan to accommodate students' desire to use the Food Court, the Loft Convenience Store and Starbucks Coffee. Students on Block Meal Plans can dine in the Food Court using the meal exchange at selected stations in the Food Court. Additionally, the option to add Dining Dollars to your meal plan is now available. For more information on how to add dining dollars contact Dining Services at Pryzbyla Center room 124.

Q: Can I use the Student Restaurant if I don't have the Anytime plan?
A: Yes, but your use is on a per meal basis. This includes anyone with one of the Block Meal Plans as well as anyone who wishes to pay at the door. The door entrance rate may be paid via cash, charge card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) Dining Dollars or with Cardinal Cash.

A: Door rates are:
Breakfast: $ 6.80
Lunch: $ 9.95
Dinner: $11.25

Q: What are guest passes?
A: Guest passes allow students who are on the Anytime plan to share their meal schedule with others, be it their parents visiting for the weekend or a classmate or friend who is not on the dining plan. Guest passes are accessed with a swipe of the Cardinal Card with one guest pass being used per card swipe.

Q: What exactly is "Dining Dollars" and how does it differ from "Cardinal Cash"?
A: Dining Dollars are a balance of funds directly associated with the dining plan and thus are only redeemable at on-campus dining venues. Cardinal Cash is personal funds placed on your Cardinal Card which may be used at all locations which accept the Cardinal Card as payment, both on and off campus.

For example: You can use Dining Dollars in the Food Court, the Loft Convenience Store Leahy Hall Coffee Kiosk, and Starbucks Coffee. You cannot use Dining Dollars at the University Book Store, Library or to pay student account bills. But you can use Cardinal Cash at all those locations as well as at selected locations off campus.

Q: Is there a meal equivalency in the food court with the dining plans?
A: Yes. Students that are on the Block Meal Plans can now dine at selected stations in the Food Court using the meal exchange program. Meal equivalency can be used at the following stations: Bene Pizza & Pasta, Grille Works, Fusion, Salad Express, Home Zone, and Grab-n-Go.
