AND THERE'S MORE!
As one of the most sustainable food service providers in Canada, Food Services at Dalhousie University has introduced some great initiatives over the years:

SUSTAINABLE FOOD
We seek to purchase and use environmentally preferable products and services, and recognize suppliers who reduce environmental impacts in their production and distribution systems or services.

MEATLESS MONDAYS!
Going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It can also help reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.

Green Island Distributors is from a small Cape Breton community rich in fishing heritage. They know the disastrous effects of poor sustainable practices and the benefits of proper ones.
