If I live off-campus can I still purchase a meal plan?

Yes, you can purchase a meal plan if you live off campus. All you have to do is drop by the ARAMARK office located in the basement of Howe Hall to fill out an application or call (902) 494-2078. You can find brochures about the meal plan at the Dalcard office, the Dalhousie bookstores, as well, at all our retail locations around campus.

Where can I use my Food Bucks on campus?

Food Bucks can be used at ARAMARK's retail locations and residence halls on campus and in the snack vending machines.

Can I purchase merchandise from Tim Hortons and Second Cup with my Food Bucks?

The answer is yes, you can use your Food Bucks to purchase food and merchandise at Second Cup and Tim Hortons on campus.

If I have both Food Bucks and dalcard money on my student card, how do I know which account is being deducted?

If you are at any of our retails locations on campus your Food Bucks will be used first. When your Food Bucks are exhausted then you dalcard money starts being deducted.

Can I treat a friend to a meal or snack with my meal plan or Dalcard?

For your protection meals on your dalcard are non-transferable. Meals are for your own use only. Food Bucks can be used to treat anyone you want to a latte, snack or a meal in any of our dining halls or retail locations on campus.

 
Do my Food Bucks carry over each term?

Food Bucks from the Freedom, Gold and Flexi Meal Plan are vaild over both terms. They do however, expire at the end of the academic year (April 2009) and are non-refundable.

You can order box lunches to go!  Box Lunches can be ordered on-line.  Just click on the icon on the homepage. Or, place an order with the  checker at your dining hall of choice!
